Dining in Toronto: SOMA chocolatemaker

"A place to eat, drink and worship chocolate" Now that, I can relate too. Ever since I watched Chocolat for the first time twelve years ago, I have been enthralled with the idea of a chocolate shop. It's kind of magical how such a small ingredient can transform into so many different edible delights. One of the many treats I tried was their famous Mayan hot chocolate, which was a spicy yet sophisticated blend of spices and chocolate. Yum.
Soma is a complete gem, and when I saw it on my recent trip to Toronto, I knew there was something worth going inside for. Turns out, Soma is one of the few artisan chocolatemakers in North America making chocolate in small batches from the cacao bean.
Just look at all this charming chocolate!

Needless to say I will be back here the next time I'm in Toronto.
