Gossip Girl: Return of the Ring

Okay okay, I know this is a week late, but I almost didn't write it. Instead I read this, and agreed with the entirety. But one thing was missing.. The fashion of course!! So here you go, by popular demand, my review of the season finally of Gossip Girl (eeek!).

First off, Bart is alive? Who would have thought! And what an ass he is being to Chuck. Well, some people never change, alive or dead... or somewhere in between? In any case, it does stir the pot and somehow Lily is too caught up in her socialite status and would rather be with someone who pretended to be dead, than her loving rock star husband. Bad choice Lily, bad choice. Although Rufus, you also made a bad choice on this jacket! Just doesn’t work.

One thing I really enjoyed about this episode was that it really showed how everything has come full circle. As much as Serena tries to hide back her wild side, she is still getting it on with her best friends boyfriend on a bar counter at a social gathering (and how great that it was the Shepard’s divorce party? Reminds me of this*).

One thing that has had a major effect over the past few seasons has been Dan’s Hair. See Figure 1 and Figure 2.

Now, on to the wardrobe…
Blair wore a Naeem Khan Dot Cockail Dress and Mariana Necklace. It wasn’t my favorite.

Serena wore an Elizabeth and James Floral Skirt  and some Jimmy Choo Abel Pumps . Very Summer In The City.

Sooo not into this hairstyle… Blair common!! The scalloping on the Valentino Coat was quite fitting though. She paired it with a Sportmax Spring 2012 RTW Floral Studded Blouse, a really awful Alexis Bittar Encrusted Flower Pin  and a Mulberry Bag.

I loved Serena’s outfit here with the  Reed Krakoff Spring 2010 Color Block Trench Coat, Dior Python Print Calfskin Pumps and Emily Cho Oversized Folded Clutch.

Blair redeemed herself in this gorgeous Naeem Khan Spring 2012 Beaded Orange Gown and
a Salvatore Ferragamo Stingray Minaudiere. Perfect for gambling en Paris, non?

Until next season...
