This time of the year I always find it almost awkward and uninspiring in the closet arena. I never know what to wear...the sparkle and shine of New Year's parties has faded, early winter knits are getting old and those shoes I just bought a month ago...well....they just don't work with anything now. Thank goodness for Pre-Fall coming along and inducing some inspiration into my wardrobe choices. This may be aimed at seasons later this year, but I am still loving the new ideas. Let's get on with it, shall we?
Relatively new to the Paris runway, Pedro Lourenco showed a beautiful collection with simplistic and modern designs. I especially loved the frostbitten shades and the photo-realistic images printed on many pieces.
Much like last season, I am head-over-heels in love with this collection from Carven. The styling made it seem so wearable, but also comparable with what I will be able to find at a lower price point. I think Nicole Phelps sums it up perfectly "It was a time when Parisian women old and young wore the same polished, couture-inspired clothes, the only things setting daughters apart from mothers being undone coiffures and extra-thick cat-eye liner." Really though, what kind of season would this be if I wasn't able to put Celine in my favourites? Silk button down with Philo perfect print...check....glorious fur collar....check...the perfect leather t-shirt....check....extra large jaw dropping shopper bag....check please! I'll take one of each. There were other colours to the Row's Pre-Fall collection but alas I am so entranced by this vivid falu red (or is it burgundy?). Either way it is becoming the only colour I want to wear.
