TIFF Predictions: The Dresses

The Toronto Film Festival is underway and the stars will be walking the red carpet in decadent designer creations. Here are a look at the predictions for the off screen drama; the dresses.

Michelle Williams is set to hit the festival for her new film Take This Waltz. An Azzedine Alaia frock from the Fall 2011 Couture collection (look #23) would fit her quirky red carpet style perfectly. The playfulness of the skirt and the polished collar, played up with Ms. Williams’ pixie cut add the right amount of fun to the glamour.
Tilda Swinton will be in attendance for her film We Need To Talk About Kevin. Swinton is known for her androgynous style and eye for the unexpected. An Armani Privé suit from the Fall 2011 Couture collection (look #8) will wear well on her figure. The large bow belt will provide a womanly silhouette while the man-tailored pants stay true to her style.
Rachel Weisz could be seen wearing a gorgeous Elie Saab gown from the Fall 2011 Couture show (look #34) to promote her new film The Deep Blue Sea. The deep blue of the gown will accentuate her figure and provide a refined glamour to the movie star.
A Dangerous Mind brings Keira Knightley to the festival. Ms Knightley has always been one to watch on the carpet and has been a muse to several. It would not come as a surprise to see her don a Chanel Couture creation such as this shimmering number from the Fall 2011 Couture show (look #30). The dress does not require the most curvaceous figure and would sit elegantly on her frame.
The Butter actress, Jennifer Garner could be seen in a Valentino number like this one from the Fall 2011 Couture collection (look #33). It would be sublime on Garner with an appropriate up-do hairstyle and limited jewellery. Garner doesn’t usually wear coloured dresses for red carpet affairs, so this would be no exception.
The red carpet watch has officially begun, and I can't wait to see the results. I will be attending the last few days of the festival and cannot wait to get on the plane. :)
